Who is selling these tickets?

All of the tickets available through Oxboffice are put up for sale by event promoters. An event promoter is any organisation or person who is producing, for example, a music, theatre, dance or art event or putting on a band night in a local pub, village hall or other venue. A promoter can be the group or person creating the event or the group or person staging the event.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets can be bought from www.oxboffice.com or on our ticket hotline number – 0845 680 1926. Please remember that some event promoters may only be putting up a portion of their tickets for sale on oxboffice. If tickets are showing as sold out then there may still be some available from the promoter.

How do I sell tickets with you?

Selling tickets through Oxboffice is very easy. We have a flexible approach with a range of options available. Overall costs are lower than the leading industry providers of box office software and e-commerce solutions. If you are interested in selling tickets through us then go to the Promoters page for more details.

How do I find tickets for a particular event?

If you are looking for something specific then please click the "Buy Tickets" option at the top of the page.

What are e-tickets?

e-tickets are simply us giving you a confirmation number (either over the phone or by email) which the event promoter will accept when you present it to them along with the card you used to book the tickets. It is up to the event promoter whether they give you a ticket in exchange for your paperless ticket or whether they let you straight in to the event.

I haven't received my tickets – what should I do?

If you have bought e-tickets over the phone then you will be given a confirmation number verbally. If you give an email address too then the confirmation number will be emailed to you too.

If you have bought paper tickets and they haven't arrived then please contact us. We will confirm your booking and if necessary dispatch a new set of tickets.

I have been sent the wrong tickets/or wrong number of tickets

If you have received either too many or too few tickets, or a confirmation email stating the wrong number of tickets, then please contact us immediately. We will make what arrangements we can to rectify any errors but will have a better chance of putting them right the sooner they are brought to our attention.

I have lost my tickets – what can I do?

If you have lost your tickets then please contact us. We will confirm your booking and see if we are able to re-send new tickets. There may be an additional charge for this.

I deleted my confirmation email – does this matter?

This does not matter if you have paper tickets and it does not matter if you have paperless tickets but have made a note of your booking reference number elsewhere. If you have neither tickets nor a record of your booking reference number then you will need to contact us.

What happens if I forget to take my tickets/confirmation to the event?

If you forget to take your tickets or confirmation to the event then it will be at the discretion of the event promoter, their front of house staff or appointed agent to grant or decline admission.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

All tickets booked are subject to our Refunds Procedure. If you wish to cancel a booking then you will need to contact the event promoter directly. If you wish to change a booking and this does not result in a cancellation then this should be possible in most cases but will be subject to availability. Further fees may apply.

There are some extra charges on top of the tickets – what are these?

If you need a paper ticket then there will be an extra charge of £1.00 per transaction for this.

What happens if an event is cancelled or postponed?

If an event is cancelled or postponed then Oxboffice will issue refunds once notified by the resgistered promoter. If an event is cancelled without notification to Oxboffice, then refunds will only be made pending an investigation. If you suspect the promoter has acted fraudulently then contact us within 5 days of the cancelled event. Only the price of the ticket can be refunded. Please read our full Refunds Procedure.

The event I bought tickets for seems to be a hoax – who is liable?

We have taken great care to guard against Oxboffice being used by people to scam customers. We have a thorough set of checks we make on new promoters wishing to use us to sell tickets. If you suspect you have been the victim of a bogus event then contact us immediately. We will only be able to log your concern if you contact us after the date of the event for which you bought a ticket. We hold all client money in a separate account and if an allegation of this sort is made then we will investigate thoroughly. If necessary we will talk to our solicitors and/or to the police and if it is shown that you are due a refund then you will get a refund.
